Benny Mardones  (born Ruben Armand Mardones; November 9, 1946) is an American pop singer and songwriter who is best known for his hit single “Into the Night”, which hit the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart twice, in 1980 (#11) and again in 1989 (#20).  (More from Wikipedia)
 
 
Robert Tepper, Modern Madness – This Bayonne, NJ native began his musical career as a songwriter and bass guitarist for Benny Mardones; he co-wrote Mardones’ hit song “Into the Night”, a #11 hit on its original release in 1980 that also made the charts again a decade later.
