In Deep, released in 1973, is the 4th studio album by Argent; originally released by Epic Records, KE 32195.  It features the original full-length recording of “God Gave Rock and Roll to You”, which reached No.18 in the UK charts (U.S. #114); when released as a single in edited form later the same year.  (More from Wikipedia)
 
 

During the sessions for their third album All Together Now, Argent recorded a song called “God Gave Rock ’n’ Roll to You”.  It was included on their 1973 album In Deep and was also released as a successful single.  The song has been covered by several bands, including the prominent Christian rock band Petra.
