Fetchin Bones formed in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1983 and released a total of six albums.  Writing for Allmusic, Michael Sutton said that the band was “highlighted by [Hope] Nicholls’ powerhouse voice, which recalled Janis Joplin in its dirty intensity”.
